I might be in your town this weekend! Signing appearances in Salem & Boston, and a comic campaign update

Salem in October, Wicked Comic Con, and new art from collaborators.

Hello, readers!

It’s been an exciting few weeks for me. The Kickstarter for OLD DEVILS #2 is more than 50% after just a week, and I’ll be making appearances in Salem in Boston this weekend to sign and sell comics.

First of all, appearances…

I haven’t done many public appearances since I started writing comics, but this weekend, I’ll be doing two!

Saturday, October 4, 10am-6pm
Silver Moon Comics
#131 Witch City Mall
Salem, MA

This is really exciting! I used to go to this shop when I worked in Salem at the Peabody Essex Museum across the street, and so to be able to table inside it during the busiest tourist season of the year is a real honor.

If you’re in town for Haunted Happenings, stop by and say hello. I’ll sign any of my books, but I also encourage you to check out the shop’s wares—they’ve got a great selection!

Sunday, October 5, 10am- 5pm
Wicked Comic Convention
Westin Boston Seaport
425 Summer St
Boston, MA

The library CodCon in Cape Cod last year notwithstanding, this is my first time tabling at a proper “convention.” I’ll be listed as “Sequential Decay” at table GG215 (toward the back left corner from the main entrance. You can get a free ticket here.

OLD DEVILS #2 is 55% funded just over 7 days in!

We are so grateful to everyone who has supported OLD DEVILS on Kickstarter so far. This campaign for the first two issues has moved quite a bit faster than the successful campaign for issue one, but we haven’t made goal yet.

If you want to get your hands on issue 2, haven’t even started issue 1, or have even missed some of my other projects, make sure to check out some of the reward tiers for lots of special offers for as low as $5. I always make sure to keep prices as low as possible to ensure anyone who wants to read my comics can.

There’s also a bunch of cool higher tier rewards, including ad space in the comic and getting yourself or your loved ones drawn into the back cover!

So what are you waiting for?

Other projects in the works…

While Old Devils is being funded, I’ve got other projects in the works! Progress is being made on Small Bites #2 (and #1 is available here). This collection of short horror, sci-fi-and fantasy comics will include works by Dave Fowler, Austin Darby, and Richard Kemp.

I don’t want to give too much away, but here’s a sneak peek of a few panels.

Parasitic bug aliens destroy their hosts in “Ugly on the Inside,” written by me with art from Dave Fowler

Something’s in the soup. Art from “It Takes A Village,” written by me with art from Richard Kemp.

Small Bites #2 will be released early next year, and we’ll be sending out more snippets from it in future newsletters, so make sure to keep subscribed!

That’s all for now.

Hope to see some of you in the wild soon.
